An Initial Assessment
A nurse can come to your home to provide a free initial assessment of you and your loved ones needs at home. This is an informative and no pressure visit where you can take the time to decide if private care is right for your loved one. Looking at family resources, we can recommend options based on your family's preferences and budget. .

It may be that your loved one is no longer able to live safely alone. Having someone come by to provide personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping may be all that is needed. The daily presence of a caregiver can ensure that your loved one is eating regularly, having meaningful daily conversation and interaction, taking medications and caring for their hygiene.

Does your loved one need something beyond personal care or housekeeping? Our certified aides can provide much needed services at your request, such as, transportation to medical appointments, same day surgery transportation and observation upon return home, light yard work, hairdressing, errands and meal planning for the week. Please inquire if there is a service here not listed that would benefit your loved one.
Talking to Health Care Providers
If you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the medical system, you are not alone! It can be daunting for anyone. Our experienced staff can serve as your resource guide about alternative living arrangements, long term care benefits, veterans assistance, support groups and other programs in southeastern Massachusetts that can help. This enables you to provide the love and support that only a family member can give.

When you choose Community Nurse, you receive a continuum of care with Visiting Nurse, Bridge, Hospice, Alzheimer's and Community Nurse Private Care services. You benefit form the trained eye of a professional, who is more likely to notice subtle changes and provide better assessments of medical status. The private pay team will make recommendations to you for other programs when appropriate, using all agency resources to enhance the care provided by private pay and keep your loved one safely at home.
